Jason O'Mara

Alto saxophonist Jason O'Mara is a founding member of the LHJO.  A Philadelphia native,
Jason performs and teaches the Philadelphie area.  He keeps a busy schedule working as a
freelance saxophonist, clarinetist, flautist, oboist, and composer, and has played and
recorded in a wide variety of musical contexts.  He has performed with the Bay-Atlantic Symphony,
the Lancaster Symphony, the Trenton Symphony, and has shared the stage with many notable
performers, including Natalie Cole, Al Martino, James Moody, Dick Oatts, Randy Brecker,
John Fedchock, Marvin Stamm, and the Temptations, among others.  He has also played in
over sixty musical theater productions at regional theaters such as the Merriam Theater, the
Prince Music Theater, the Kimmel Center, and the Arden Theater.  Jason is a graduate of the
University of the Arts in Philadephia and serves on the faculty at Immaculata University,
Temple University Center City, Germantown Friends School, and the George School.
In addition, Jason is the founder of Bucks County Woodwind Studios and the Temple University
Community Music Jazz Orchestra.  In addition to the LHJO, Jason currently plays with
New Soul Nation, the New Jersey Saxophone Quartet, Iqram, Shai Linne,
and Elvis Bonilla and his Orchestra
