Ben
Vinci
Ben Vinci has been a member of the LHJO since 2002. He holds degrees from
the University of the Arts in Music Education and Jazz Saxophone Performance.
He is the recipient of the Michael Brecker Saxophone Award, as well as the University
of the Arts Jazz Award. An avid Philadelphia-area performer, Ben has shared the stage with
the Four Tops, the Temptations, President Bill Clinton, Grover Washington Jr., George Young,
Gerald Veasley, Lou Rawls, Soul Survivors, among many others. Ben is also well established
as a solo artist, as well as a founding member and current leader of Big Swing Face.
Ben arranges and composes music, teaches music in local schools at all levels, including
higher education.
